The Batemans Bay Soldiers Club has made vast inroads to improving the efficiency of the building's operation and services providing by the club whilst also minimizing waste produced. These measures include :

​

  • Implementation of the BINTRIM waste solution system

  • Low Energy Lighting installed throughout the club 

  • Re-used rain water for flushing toilets throughout

  • 120 Kilowatt solar panels powering all energy used within the club

  • Upgrade of 70% of club air conditioning to eco friendly gas system

  • Recycling of reusable materials 

  • Correct disposal of chemicals & reduction of chemicals used

  • Monitored water usage

  • The club runs state-of-the-art BMS technology 

  • Power faction correction metre installed 

 

 To ensure the club maintains it's commitment towards environmental sustainability all measures of power usage, waste and operations are monitored regularly with:

​

  • Reports on power usage reviewed in monthly board meetings

  • Validity of new environmentally geared options reviewed regularly in board meetings for implementation.

The Esplanade Motor Inn has seen a substantial renovation in
recent years, raising the standard of luxury comfort that you find throughout today :

The renovations have been more than superficial, with many of the facilities throughout the esplanade seeing an upgrade to bring this local icon into the twenty first century with environmental sustainability at the forefront. The optimization and upgrades have included:

​

  • More energy efficient air conditioning systems throughout 

  • upgraded, high efficiency hot water system to all rooms

  • Waste reduction shower head fittings

  • upgrade of spa baths to more energy efficient models

The Bay Link building has been designed with a high energy efficiency NABERS rating of 5 and a half stars for sustainability and health of the environment.

The Bay Link building is also the building to have held this rating the longest on the NSW South Coast.
