These include sponsorships of local sporting teams, and community events, as
well as donations and funding through the Club Grants program

NSW ClubGRANTS Categories – Overview
Category 1 – Community Welfare & Social Services
Category 1 funding supports community welfare and social service projects that
improve the wellbeing of people in the local community.
This includes initiatives addressing health, disability services, homelessness, domestic
violence, youth services, mental health, aged care, and other essential social needs.
Applications are assessed by the local ClubGRANTS Committee and focus on
demonstrable community benefit.
Category 2 – Community Development & Support
Category 2 funding supports community development activities, events, programs
and services that enhance community life.
This can include sport and recreation, education programs, arts and culture,
employment initiatives, community events and environmental or cultural projects.
Funding is cash-based and is assessed directly by participating clubs.
Category 2 – In-Kind Support
Category 2 In-Kind refers to non-financial support provided by clubs instead of direct
cash funding.
This generally includes complimentary venue hire or access to club facilities.
In-kind support is designed to help community groups deliver projects while reducing
their operational costs
